First show of 2008 We just booked our first show of 2008! February 13th, 2008 - Satanic Puppeteer Orchestra, Starcrossed, The Verso @ the Zombie Lounge - 3519 El Cajon Blvd, San Diego, CA (619) 284-3323 Dec 21, 2007 Photos from our show and a new MP3 are up on our MySpace page First and foremost, thanks to everyone who came out to see us for the first time in ages at our Casbah show here in San Diego on Monday. An extra special thanks to those of you who flew in to town and traveled great distances to be a part of it. It was a blast. We posted a few photos from the evening on our myspace page, so be sure to check those out. There are even a couple shots of our cardboard keytar orchestra that backed us up on "Excavate Your Own Backyard." Speaking of our show at the Casbah, it was a very special haunted holiday event. And in honor of this, we were asked to perform a christmas song. So last Thursday, December 13th, we headed back in to the studio to record our version of "Winter Wonderland." Well, it made it on to the Local 94.9 show with Tim Pyles just a few days later... Sunday the 16th. And he pushed to get it as a "Local Member of the Day" song to air during regular broadcast hours the following evening, just hours before our concert on the 17th. When it aired, one of the listeners was inspired enough to change his course and head down to our show to see what we were about. After we played, he asked if we'd be interested in putting "Winter Wonderland" on a free holiday music CD comprised of a bunch of cool San Diego bands he was just about to release. We agreed and we actually dropped by the release party for it tonight... Thursday the 20th. So in the span of the week it has existed, it has gone from our brain, to the local radio show, to the mainstream radio show, and finally to a holiday CD compilation. Geesh. Sometimes our songs have a life of our own. I wonder where it will end up next week. Since there are only a few hundred copies of those holiday CDs floating around, and a lot of you aren't from San Diego, we thought it would be a nice gesture if we made it available to all of you on our MySpace page. We'll probably be taking it down in a few weeks, so if you are interested, you might want to grab it. If you live in San Diego, check out the Local 94.9 this Sunday (December 23rd), because we will be making a brief guest appearance. I think that covers it for now. Talk to you all again soon... December 17th, 2007 at The Casbah, San Diego, CA 12 Days of X-mas Kick-Off - Haunted Holiday Party Featuring Nightmares, Satanic Puppeteer Orchestra, The Cankles We are a little rusty, both figuratively and literally, so this should prove to be interesting.
